best time to upload on tiktok

TikTok is blowing up! And if you’re already a TikToker or considering becoming one, you’ve probably wondered how to grow a large audience. You’ve also likely asked yourself “when is the best time to post on TikTok?” And you aren’t alone when it comes to finding answers to both conundrums. Truth is, finding the perfect time to post content on social media isn’t easy.

Sure, there are many stats and ideas out there for various platforms, but trends form and change almost daily. Also, just because you generate tons of likes and follows for a certain type of content at a certain time of the day, that doesn’t guarantee that what you post next will trend. We already posted When is the best Time to post on Instagram.

So, how do you find the best times to post on TikTok? And how do you maximise on your content creation to draw a larger following? In this post, we’ll give you two important questions you should ask to find the best times to post on TikTok for your audience. You can get more followers and more tiktok likes if you post at right time.

When is the best time to post on Tiktok? || Concept 1

That really depends on a few factors, which are:

1) Your followers: Since a good deal of the people who seem to like my stuff the most are Russian, Croatian, and Dutch and I am in California the best time for me to post a new piece is like 1:00am or thereabouts, but everyone’s follower list is different. Do note that it will always read that you have more followers from the USA but that doesnt mean the people who are truly appreciating what you do are in that majority by necessity. Know your audience and post accordingly.

2) Your Goals: are you trying to become Tik-Tok famous? Are you trying to make art? Were you blessed with good genetics and lead an active lifestyle which qualifies you for “hormonal hits” [read: do you want to flaunt your looks?] Each of these goals requires a different strategy to maximize exposure. If fame: shoot many videos and save them to your drafts folder at one time. Then release these on a clockwork regularity. The same is true for hormonal hits only with a need for more releases more often (people can find beauty all over the place, you need to keep them interested)

3) Your content: If your stuff is a little risque you may want to release it later in your audience’s evening rather than their morning; or if you make comedy, then perhaps your audience’s mid day to evening is your best bet.

So as you can see there is no set best time for everyone, but once you know your audience and your content then it is fairly easy to determine.

When is the best time to post on Tiktok? || Concept 2

First, where is your audience located? Figure out where you think the most people will be watching your stuff. If you’re just starting out and you aren’t globally famous or anything, it’s safe to assume that most people who view your videos will be in your time zone.

If you’re really serious about this, you can switch your TikTok to a “pro account,” which will let you see analytics. The next thing to determine is when your audience is awake and what their schedules are like. The vast majority of people on TikTok are young, between the ages of 18 and 34,

Those people are most likely at work during the day and at home on their phones at night, so it’s reasonable to conclude that the best time to post is during lunch hours, at night, or on weekends.

Social media has created a constant need for the consumption of content. Whether video, GIFs or links to articles, people love scrolling through their feeds to find something to pass the time. And while producing content should always be your goal (something we’ll also cover further below), you also need to know when to connect with your audience.
